What happens if somebody breaks my shop window late at night?
O’Brien Glass is Allianz’s recommended repairer and are available at all hours on free call number 1800 060 007. They will fix your glass, collect your excess and deal with Allianz for you, so all it takes is one phone call.
 
If I do work away from my salon, am I covered?
The public liability cover we can arrange through Allianz is Australia wide. Therefore if you are demonstrating your normal activities at trade expo’s or other similar events, or even doing mobile work the policy cover continues.
 
How long has your company been in business?
We are an authorised representative of Direct Insurance Brokers Pty Ltd which has been operating for more than 25 years. What other insurance policies can you arrange?

What happens if I get broken into after hours?
If you need to report a claim after business hours, please call Allianz 13 1000 and quote your Policy Number, which is on the top right hand corner of your invoice.
 
Do I have the right insurance protection for my lease?
Before you sign a lease, it is important that you make sure the terms of the contract coincide with your insurance policy. Most commercial leases require a minimum of $10 Million Liability and Plate Glass insurance, however they are all different. If you want to make sure you have the right level of cover, please contact our office.
 
If I change treatments do I need to advise you?
Although our current treatment wording is extensive, you should contact us if you are performing any new treatments so that we can confirm cover is in place, or advise otherwise.
 
If somebody rents a space from me in my salon, are they covered under my policy?
As this is becoming a common occurrence within the industry we do have options available however as we do have to make special arrangements to allow this cover you should contact us to discuss in detail.
 
How can I go about arranging Workers Compensation insurance?
For all states apart from Queensland, please go to the following Allianz link - www.allianz.com.au/allianz/bi+workers+ compensation.html In Queensland, all Workers Comp. insurance is managed by WorkCover Queensland, which you can call on 1300 362 128, or visit them online at www.workcoverqld.com.au.
 
What is flood, and are you able to arrange this cover for me?
Many people get confused as to how insurers define Flood. Allianz refer to it as the covering of normally dry land with water released or that has escaped from the normal confines of any watercourse, whether natural or altered; any lake, whether natural or altered; or any reservoir, canal or dam. The policies we arrange do not automatically include Flood, so if you require this cover, please let us know so we can make the necessary arrangements.
 
If I cancel my policy mid-term, will I get a refund?
Yes, a pro-rata return premium will be generated for any period of insurance cover which you didn’t use. Fees and charges do apply for cancellations however this is standard for most insurers. If you require your policy to be cancelled, please click here to download our required form?
